Tulsa Website Design | Pink in your Brand

by | Jan 11, 2021 | Website Design | SEO

Pink is a color not often used in Tulsa based website design. Today I want to break down why that is. I would look at exactly what pink means for your business and how to use it in your brand. Everything we present today has been presented before. It’s not about knowing. It’s about applying. As we go through this article today think about how you could potentially apply this information to your business. If you don’t apply the information you’re learning here today it could be more meaningless than a light bulb next to the sun. Website is the window into your business soul. What are people seeing? Pink for compassion

There are four aspects of the color pink that I will look at today. The first one is compassion. Biblical compassion is, “moved from the inside out”. In the Greek they describe it as, “moved from one’s bowels”. That term then translates into the doubled over in pain position. Pink is a great color to use for not-for-profit organizations. It’s also a great way to convey compassion. Businesses use this color to represent love. If you want to show your potential customers that you are a company of love, or you want to make them feel loved, use pink.

Tulsa website design: Sweet and pink

There is a company here in Tulsa called Barbie’s cookies. It’s a sweet little cookie shop dedicated to making amazing sweets. This brand is using the color pink perfectly. Pink is meant to represent something sweet or nice. And of course today’s counterculture is using pink to represent something that is the opposite: aggressive and cool. Pink is a more versatile color than people give it credit. Pink and make the ugliest of men feel cool. It can also make the littlest girls excited.

Pink for sincerity and sophistication

The final aspect of the color pink that I will look at today is sophistication and sincerity. Pink goes right along with the color purple we discussed in our previous post here. It’s very similar in the way that people use it to represent the brand. Pink represents sophistication. If your brand wants to feel important, using colors like pinks and purples can make that happen. Pink is also represented well with yellow to represent happiness. It’s important to understand how your consumers will react to colors. And that’s really what this whole post is about.

The question for today

so the question I post for you today is how can you use pink in your brand? That is a great question. Pink is often overlooked. That means that when you use it you will stand out. As I discussed previously in our IT insecurities blog, Seth Godin wrote a book called purple cow. In this book, he describes anything that makes you stand out in the marketplace is a good thing.

People have been doing this for years and many of the study realized. Think about Trump’s hair and orange face. Since Trump is president he doesn’t use fake tan. Many times we as consumers don’t realize that that was intentional. Trump wanted to be seen as different and stand out. If people are talking negatively about you, you’re known at least. Many business owners don’t want to stand out or be different because they could be made fun of. This should be the case. If you stand out you make more money.
