Online marketing can be a complex endeavor with Tulsa website design projects as just the start. Once you have a website, what next? Some businesses opt to market their business online with social media. You know those things like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. The problem is that all of these different social media websites take various forms and dimensions for their images.
When you create an image for Instagram, it won’t necessarily work “as is” for Facebook. Today we break down the complexities of these Tulsa website design alternatives. We look at the specific dimensions you need.
All of the dimensions presented here today and more are in our Logo Dimensions Template available on request when you email us today at info@centupli.com. When you email us or call us at 918-218-228, don’t forget to ask about our free website design subscription – “try before you buy”. The Cheater Method
Ok so if you are in a hurry, I will give you the cheater method of building social media images. In general, for most social media pages a 1024px x 512px will do ok. Of course, it will not be exactly perfect for all social media platforms, but if you are in a hurry, use these dimensions.
Facebook is probably the most widely used social media platform for businesses. As such it’s important to make sure that your logo and any other images you post look professional here. Here are the basic guidelines:
- Link Posts: 1200 x 628 px
- Image Posts: 1200 x 630 px
- Cover Images: 820 x 312 px
- Profile Images: 170 x 170 px
Instagram is owned by Facebook, but is slightly different. That being said, so are the dimensions of photos when it comes to posting. Here athe the basics:
- Image Posts: 1080 x 1080 px
- Profile Images: 110 x 110 px
- Stories: 1080 x 1920 px
YouTube
The final social media platform I want to look at is YouTube. You might not really consider YouTube a “social media” platform. It’s more of a streaming platform, but it’s close enough that it’s making it into this list.
- Cover image: 2560 x 1440 px
- Thumbnail image: 1280 x 720 px
- Profile image: 800 x 800 px
